"Idol" Contestants Snub Blake

31. Okay we all know Blake can't sing despite his alleged singing lessons. Jordin is a hands down winner. She has class, talent, a strong voice and we will hear alot about her over the years while Blake will probably end up doing what he's been doing since age 5 beat boxing. He's hard to even look at so I can't imagine paying money to see him anywhere. Perhaps Taylor Hicks and Blake could do something together, they're both losers despite the hype.

32. Just what do you find "original" about Blake's performances? His 1970s Michael Jackson dancing, his 1980s rapper wannabe beatboxing, or his 1990s boy band soprano voice? I get so embarrassed for the kid when he sings, it's excruciating. Plus, he has a very hard time finding meaning with any of the songs he sings - his expression and emotion stay the same throughout every song he sings.

Really, if all it took to be talented was spitting into a mike and making toddler sounds, we could all be rich and famous!

At least with Jordin they'll be able to craft her into something marketable.

33. WHY DOES EVERYONE LOVE BLAKE SO MUCH?? He is SOOOO annoying, he can't sing for beans, his beat boxing isn't a talent (or at least not the right talent for AI), and he's got an attitude. Don't you remember Chris Sligh intimating that there was one contestant who was "so sure" he was a "shoe in"? That was Blake! He is NOT a nice guy, he's a fake, and one that the other contestants can't stand. He hasn't sung one song without being completely flat or off in some way, and I'll tell you, I want to strangle him for ruining, not once, but TWICE, a really good Bon Jovi song (and Jon Bon Jovi was annoyed, too).

35. I already feel sorry for Blake! Not only is he an average singer, at best; but if he wins, he will have to deal with endless speculation about his sexual orientation.

The paps will be happy! The tabloids will be ecstatic! Little girls will jump for joy! However, he might just wish he could have quit while he was ahead.

36. Blake is not a good singer. I don't even think he's that great of a performer. I find him boring and repetitive. His beat boxing is annoying, his "dancing" is poor, and he's kind of a cheese puff.

I know he's got a fan base among the teeny boppers, but real music fans can't take this guy seriously.

As for fake, Blake is the person whose originality stems from plugging songs into a computer program.

Jordin can sing, seems like a genuinely nice person and is a beautiful young girl. She will be a huge star.

37. So while Blake isn't the best singer (Jordin is), I want him to win. True, AI is a singing competition, but it's also a competition to make music careers for these people. Jordin will have beautiful CDs, but who wants to watch her in concert in a pretty dress? Not me. Blake is so much more marketable and entertaining. I admit that the beat boxing thing does get old, but he has such a presence.

The other thing I can't stand about Jordin is the way she acts. I agree with the people here - she is so fake. And how is it that the biggest criticism about Melinda is that she always seemed so surprised when she was complimented - Jordin does the EXACT SAME THING and nobody notices.

I have to give her credit because she is 17, and God knows I can't sing like that. If she does really make it, I can see her joining the ranks of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton. Being famous at a young age doesn't serve most people well.

38. I just can't stand Jordin ! I don't know if you noticed, but she always smiles and then she opens her mouth and it's just driving crazy. Stop ! You're 17 and you're already pissing me off.
Well, I can't stand Blake either (this year's cast wasn't real good except for melinda and Lakisha) when he sang he's doing odd faces and I'm like, shut you mouth...
And wasn't Paula a wreck last night ? She just look like she had just woken up and her hair was a mess ! No offense I think she's nice but yesterday...

41. I'm not sure that either of these individuals will have a particularly successful career. Jordin is not very interesting and has not proven that she can perform any kind of up tempo song without absolutely butchering it. I have zero interest in hearing a Jordin song at any point in the future. Blake's style is closer to the kind of music that I enjoy, but he is not an especially strong vocalist. He will benefit from studio magic, and he's capable enough in live performances to be an entertaining live artist. Still, I don't think he'll be a chartbuster. There probably wasn't a legitimate superstar in the top 12 this year.

Jordin is a doll I would have been happy whoever won tonight, BUT, it was very unfair to give that stupid song to both for their third and final..clearly it was a song perfect for Jordin, and not for Blake. Too bad he did not get to perform as he did his thing on the final, one day late, but he will do well. He is a performer. and a gentleman.
